Finally, Edward had started construction on his little cabin, his soon to be new home. After some time he was able to complete his first house, using his handiness skills and knowledge, he was able to build his first home on his newfound land. His pride and attachment to this land had started to grow, and finishing this house had now solidified his connection, and staked his claim.
After a long time, Edward got what he wanted, he had a new home. He was exhausted after tirelessly putting everything together, he could not help but feel so proud of his accomplishment. But he knew, in the back of his mind, that this was only the beginning. A long road lay before him, as he knew that this was one of many constructions that would take place on this land, as once he had a family, a whole new build would take its place, and many more down the line of the generations. But for now, this cabin served its purpose, a place of shelter.
Some time went by, and Edward started settling in nicely. Since the hard work had slowed down, for now, Edward could not help but think to himself about how nice it would be to be able to share all of this with someone and enjoy the ‘fruits of his labour’ with. Edward had begun to feel lovelorn.
One night out at the local bar, he had just bought himself a drink, and as he turned around, he saw the most lovely girl in his line of sight. She was beautiful, in the most classic and traditional way. Edward was looking for someone to share his life with and to start a family with, and he knew right away that this woman was it. He just had to make his move.
Edward made his way over to where she was, slid in next to her, and introduced himself. Her name was Mary Rhys-Jones, she had just recently arrived in town, visiting an old friend, and that she too is from Wales. Before he knew it, the bar was shouting out their last rounds. They had spent the whole night talking and just getting to know each, which was nice for Edward as he hadn’t had a proper conversation with someone in months. They had to say their goodbyes for the night, and so they parted ways, in hopes of seeing each other again. Edward could tell Mary enjoyed his company, as did he, and he spent the whole way home with one name on his mind… Mary Rhys-Jones!
