Edward could not stop thinking about Mary, his new love, and so he had to see her again. The day he confessed his love and affection to her would be one of the most nerve-racking and hardest things he ever had to do, as she was all he could think about, getting in the way of his work. But when Mary returned the feelings, it would become one of the best days in his life.
He and Mary had been seeing each other for a while now, and things have been going pretty well, especially now that Mary decided to stay to see where things lead between them. Edward started having thoughts of popping the question, in hopes that Mary wouldn’t leave, but he was worried it would be too soon, and that Mary might feel like he is rushing into things. And so he decided to give it a bit more time.
As the year came to an end, Edward decided that in the new season he would make his move and propose, and hope for the best, as now felt like the right time more than ever. He was about to embark on a journey he feared that he never would have gotten.
As spring rolled around, it was time for Edward to take the first step to secure a love he knew he never wanted to lose. He invited her out to a beautiful scenic part of town and knew this would be the perfect place to ask the question, as “who could say no in a place like this”, he thought.
“YES!”, those would be the best words he would ever hear. Mary had accepted his proposal, as she too was hoping he was going to ask, even though they’ve only been going out for a few months, they knew they were meant for each other. Edward had finally found someone who he could share his life with and share his journey of starting a long lasting legacy for his (future) family.
This was only the beginning of their story, as there was still so much more that they needed to do. Like planning a wedding.
