Fans often create custom content for The Sims 4 to add diverse options, but the game is working towards better inclusivity by adding official new customization options. Previous Sims 4 additions, like scars and vitiligo, aim to represent players better.

A new update coming to The Sims 4 adds important customization features with new hairstyles and colors for the Sims. With the help of the Sims modding community, players on PC have been able to achieve pretty realistic game play, but players on consoles have not been able to experience this for themselves, which is why base game updates like these are important.
