How To Complete The MySims Legacy Challenge

There are plenty of legacy challenges in The Sims 4 that can bring life back to the game, but few are as creative and challenging as the MySims Legacy Challenge by Alexis3142. The challenger’s creator has drawn inspiration from the once-beloved game MySims, and she invites Simmers to embark on an extraordinary odyssey that transcends time and brings the vibrant spirit of MySims back to life.

The MySims Legacy Challenge pays homage to the charming characters and whimsical world that captured the hearts of Simmers. From humble beginnings to grand triumphs, this challenge promises an immersive experience and offers a chance for players to create their own enduring legacy within the world of The Sims 4.

General Rules

The completed MySims Trophies Collection for the MySims Legacy Challenge in The Sims 4

Although some may be intimidated by its size and length, this challenge dares players to complete several achievements over a Sim’s lifespan and abide by specific rules decided by the creator. That being said, players do not have to complete every generation and can choose which ones are most interesting to them. This challenge spans nearly all expansions in The Sims 4 and other DLC, so those who are missing certain aspects of the challenges are encouraged to get creative with the rules.

Like most popular legacy challenges in The Sims 4, players should consider their in-game settings and cheats to adjust the difficulty of the challenge. Upon opening a new save file for the MySims Legacy Challenge, players should set lifespans to either normal or long, so there is enough time to complete certain requirements and accomplishments. To extend a Sim’s lifespan further, players are allowed to use one Potion of Youth from the Rewards Store per generation. Those who do not complete the rules and achievements for the generation do not have to start over. They can pass on the requirements for the next heir to complete.

The creator of this challenge permits players to use money cheats; however, cheats that adjust skill levels, job promotions, and collection progress are off-limits. Legacy challenges are often more enjoyable if Simmers start with nothing and build up an empire for themselves at the start of each generation.

Generations

Challenges like the Not So Berry Challenge prompt players to create Sims that resemble specific color schemes and characters. It may be an entertaining idea to name and match each heir to the MySims character they are embodying for each generation, but players may choose however they would like their Sims to look. Those who would like to recreate MySims characters and their personalities should research the backstories of each character or read the item description for the MySims trophy collection.

Beginning with the founder, Chef Gino, players must give the Sim three cheats specified for their generation. By the end of their life, they must have reached level 10 of their predetermined career, maximized related skills, achieved relevant aspirations, and completed collections for the generation. Players with the Discover University expansion pack should go to university and earn degrees to help each heir fast-track their skills and careers. By the end of the legacy challenge, the legacy family should have fully completed the MySims trophy collection.

Options For Continuing The Challenge

Two Sims 4 characters at work: Wendalyn dueling in the Magic Realm and Officer Ginny interrogating a suspect.

If 20 generations weren’t enough, the creator of this challenge has laid the foundation for five more iconic characters from the MySims franchise. Take Officer Ginny, a dedicated police officer, for example. Players can follow Officer Ginny to work every day as she makes evil Sims pay for their sins. Perhaps the brainiacs of this challenge are the most appealing. Professor Nova, the professor of course, or the geeky robot scientist named Alexa Lexington would be the perfect way to continue the challenge.

Fans of the Realm of Magic expansion would love the generation of Wendalyn the Sim from a family of witches. Follow out her dreams of completing the Purveyor of Potions and the Spellcraft & Sorcery aspirations. Who wouldn’t love playing the self-absorbed fashionista, Ms. Nicole Vogue? Help this serial romantic achieve her wildest dreams of being a famous style influencer. There are many more MySims characters to explore in The Sims 4.
